Years ago I was reading the Encyclopedia Britannica and read about the first Chinese Emperor demanding a perfect sleep. The scholars found a wood block with a hole cut out for his ear gave him the perfect sleep.  The Emperor’s Pillow became the model for perfect sleep for generations.
